About Miriam Epstein, Independent Contractor

Miriam Epstein practices as both a solo practice and as an independent contrator on specific cases to The Law Office of Anna K. Dvorchik, PLLC.  

Miriam Epstein concentrates her practice in civil litigation, trust and estate litigation, and guardianship litigation. She has experience in all aspects of civil litigation through settlement and trial and has argued at both the state and federal level. She is licensed to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Prior to joining the firm, Miriam was actively involved in all stages of trust and estate litigation and business litigation at a boutique law firm located in Fairfax, Virginia. She served as the law clerk to the Honorable Lorraine Nordlund at the Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia from 2012–2013. She is a current member of the Fairfax Bar Association and was a board member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Fairfax Bar Association from 2014 through 2017. She is also a member of the George Mason Inn of Court, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association.

Miriam received her law degree from William and Mary Law School, where she was an articles editor for the William & Mary Law Review and President of the Jewish Law Student Association. While at William and Mary, she was selected as a graduate research fellow for the Center for Legal and Court Technology, where she studied the use of technology in the courtroom and legal issues around social media in state courts, and coordinated a laboratory trial to assess jury understanding of allegedly fabricated computer evidence, conducted with assistance from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section.

Before law school, Miriam worked as a theatrical sound designer based in Atlanta, Georgia. She designed over 125 professional shows and received two awards and nine nominations for sound design. She has an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and graduated cum laude from Williams College.
